And the Light Shines in the darkness

From the desk of the Tiger Lily.

LC has been writing a lot lately, and I would ask for this to be written too, but it feels lazy to do so as there is a lot of energy that one expends penning these things.  I hope this will encourage your hearts.

The Holy Ghost has been Whispering to me in flashes lately about how Christians have accepted the epithets the world deigns to bestow upon them in condescending contempt, such as "You're no angel" or "I'm not a saint" and "We're all sinners".  Saint Paul did not write to the "sinners" at Ephesus/Thessalonica/Rome/take your pick, but to the Saints.  And as Spiritual descendants of those who came first, we should not allow the lies of satan and the world to define us as we are Redeemed and a New Being in Christ, Who is Perfect and without flaw.  One does not have to die to achieve Sainthood no matter how many the Catholics burned at the stake.

My heart has also been pondering the implications of what it longed to be and prayed for long ago of being "in the Light as He Himself is in the Light" and shining like the stars of the heavens.  They are beautiful creations, those stars, unique in their individual brightness and frequency, and God Calls each by their name.

"That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;"  --Philippians 2:15

"And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever."  --Daniel 12:3

What could possibly be more awesome than that?

And then it hit me.  As God Perfects each of us to reflect Him more and more, He has given us a Vision of what we will be after the things of this world and the people pass away.
Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field. He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man; The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one; The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels. As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world. The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.  --Matthew 13:36-43
When the darkness that hampers the Light is gone, we will shine brighter than the stars.

There IS something more awesome waiting for us!  And that's just what we know God has Said.

But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.  --1 Corinthians 2:9

No matter how bad things look in this world, it only gets better from here, because we are one day closer to Jesus coming back!!!
