From a tactical nuclear tsunami point of view, a super therm or several detonated at the point from Martha's Vineyard west, would produce an ocean swell, which would be contained by Long Island Sound. The tidal wave would wash away vast numbers of metro New York liberal vermin, and if one was clever, a southern tidal meant to wash north would give New York a bath with great effect.
I see numbers of wet spots like Boston, Rhode Island's Narragansett Bay....but of course leaving the New London submarine facilities to port your Red Octobers, and how lovely after a good bath of all the coastal areas that Cape Cod would be a fine landing zone, along with Annapolis, Dover and Charleston getting splashed. Those little necks of land make nice landing zones, and cleansed of liberal vermin, they would provide excellent operational zones.
As there is not any reason to carry this out along the entire seacoasts.......of how lovely it would be to wash the liberal vermin out of Chicago in a Great Lakes tsunami.....it suffices to reveal just how brilliant Vladimir Putin is, as there is absolutely not any defense against a thermal tsunami, no matter how grande your Star Wars platforms are.
