That is what is involved in this Drudan Bros and Epoch Times horseshit.
The propaganda tells us that ethanol now causes more smog in summer. There is a problem with that as Forbes did an expose' on ethanol and here is how they explained ethanol smog.
Ironically, this meant that the ethanol that was meant to be a cleaner gasoline alternative would actually lead to higher emissions from evaporation, and hence to greater smog formation. The flip side is that certain tailpipe emissions are lower when ethanol blends are used, and that helps offset the higher emissions from evaporation.
If you need a translation of the above, Forbes found that ethanol might produce higher emissions due to evaporation..........BUT THIS WAS OFFSET by producing lower emissions.
This is what always ends up in the talking points against ethanol in they are absolute lies.

In any brothel, Hendrickson has a list that ethanol ruins old engines, storage units and I forget what the hell else. Again that is BULLSHIT!!!
I have a 1997 GMC Sierrra. I would term that an old engine in what I drive as it is 25 years old. All I burn in my pick up is ethanol 10%. Never had a problem with it and never will. I also due to ethanol never have any icing in my lines in winter.
I burn ethanol in the Wisconsin engine which is in my skid steer that is older than Zero and Epoch combined, no problems.
I will unlike Zero and Epoch be honest in what ethanol "can effect". If you have a historically old vehicle as I did a 1988 Ford Ranger which only burned old gasoline blends that varnished or had dirty fuel. that ethanol would act like a solvent as that is what it is, and it would clean that out and plug electric fuel pumps or clog lines.
If you have an old metal gas tank (They no longer exist) ethanol will absorb water and MIGHT cause the tank to rust. I had that happen on a Super M tractor, but have had nothing but ethanol in a WD 45 tractor for almost a decade without any problems.
Ethanol is not the problem and has never been a problem. The problem was people who bought cheap fuel and had dirty fuel systems, that ethanol cleaned and ethanol was then blamed.
Historically, rural areas in America up to the 1980's burned a red farm gas, which was about as bad as Mexican gasoline in engines pinged and it was sold for these old tractor engines which can run on things that you would not believe they could run on. That cheap fuel was the problem that the gas companies sold with the government backing it, and ethanol got blamed.
I'm still stunned when the Tractor Whisperer keeps quoting to me about bad gas. I have never had bad gas. I have gas sitting in tanks for years sometimes and it always starts engines. I have mentioned this before in I use a national brand, it has ethanol in it, and I have never had one problem.
While in Missouri, TL filled up Zelda with that cheap fuel they have there. Zelda did not want to start or run and that really bothered me as I could not afford a dead car. We limped over to Kansas, put in their fuel and Zelda ran like she always did. Zelda loved ethanol, got great mileage and she loved cruising on the interstate at just under 90 mph.
What Zero and Epoch should have addressed is the real issue in this, and that is Dictator Biden has ruined the US fuel production output deliberately, as the Lame Cherry in MATTER ANTI MATTER EXCLUSIVES EXPLAINED for this fraud electronic care switch over and the German Seimans hydrogen fuel cells to monopolize the market for the elite.
To get to that point, Dictator Biden has to find a way to keep America moving until war, plague, or whatever is the next event, and the way Biden is doing that is to increase the ethanol content to make up for the oil that Saudi Arabia will not increase production for. Biden has a problem in this as Ameica is still importing Russian crude. The reason for this is all those damned Mexicans and foreigners, numbering at 250 million in America are burning up all that gas supply. The only way to keep shortages from taking place is to increase ethanol output, and that is the problem in this. Ethanol is not the problem, the problem is what Dictator Biden is up to in creating an E and H monopoly. Zero and Epoch do not give a damn about that, as their financial sources appear to be big oil who like under Obama are making a fortune off of American again in high fuel prices engineered by this cartel. They do not want that share to be absorbed by the ethanol producers.
So I will never trust Zero Hedge or that Epoch Times again. Their propanda is pork shit as all anti ethanol propaganda is. Why Jeff Rense suckles at the nipple of this is just one of his mysteries, but he spews the same falsehoods which are easily refuted.
The only regret I have in ethanol is rich people have not donated so I could get a newer pick up and burn E 85 in it.
Did you know in Henry Ford's first engines they were burning PURE ETHANOL and no one said a damn thing about that.
