My best half in TL, actually looked up on this, as we have not been smelling shit like this, and it literally is a medical condition, and interestingly it has to do with liver damage which was a problem of the vax.
The function of the liver, is a filter and regulator for the body, it regulates chemical levels (why drunks get liver damage) and it cleans out toxins and worn out red blood cells.
What is of interest in this is with liver damage one expects jaundice or yellowing. What appears to be the reality in this deals with the breath of the dead.

A liver does not repair itself. I would assume on the lack of information on this, that the body is decomposing and no longer able to filter out what ends up in shit or piss normally and the levels are so pronounced that the spill is in the last organ available and that is the lung to buy some time before the body shuts down.
These vaxes are transhuman. It is possible that something could rectify or a new booster will take this to a new level beyond the breath of the dead.
