When it comes to bad movies, I have reached a point where everything about Burt Reynolds has been something that a child should watch or those Southerners whose maturity is fused at age 8, as once one matures, Burt Reynolds is horrid as his movies are.
The movie was Shamus and it reminded me of a bad McCloud or Colombia tv movie of the week. It is about some diamond heist with the only bright spot in the thieves use a flame thrower and burn everyone up to steal the diamonds. That was unique, Burt Reynolds was not, as he was like watching Steve McQueen in Bullitt, another horrid movie.
There is not any point in giving away the end, as the best parts are Dyan Cannon as she carries the movie, except for a cameo by John Glover. John Glover is the equal of Joaquin Phoenix, who is of course the greatest movie actor of all time, and only he could save the failing movie industry of Hollywood, while Jan Michael Vincent can only revive television to the golden era. Could you imagine Jan Trek as the new Star Trek series. Yes Jan Trek, starring JMV, where he flies Space Wolf, strafing planets and undressing Klingon women with his turbo thrust.
Where was I? Burt Reynolds is a fag. Seriously he had like platform shoes on. Dude must be like five four in dry feet and dude in Shamus runs like a girl. He could not even use a bar to open a window, as he missed the window the first time.
I have to say this though as there is this big dog, and Burt has two guns, and instead of shooting the dog, he gets mauled and his guns taken from him. I mean there is no wonder that Dyan Cannon never did a hook up with him in real life.
When I think of Gator and that other movie that made Reynolds, it seemed they were cool, but now I think it is like watching Elvis as a kid, in his shows were fab when you simply did not know any better. That is the revelation of Shamus. It reveals that Archer was and idiot in idolizing Burt Reynolds and I knew this in Smokey and the Bandit as that was just asstard, but now I know that is was all Lauren Hutton taking her shirt off that made Burt Reynolds.
To think I could have invested my time in watching Adam West in reviewing that period of time, or that other great actor William Shatner, and all the misdirected worship was to Burt Reynolds. How sad it all was.
Now that I think about it, Rachel Ward, the most beautiful woman in all Australia was in a Reynolds movie, again she is the one, one remembers, as much as Sally Fields. It was all attractive women making the faggery of Reynolds look manly.
I apologize in I can not think of anything more to write about this bad movie, but you will notice I was writing about everything else, not in this movie as that is how bad this bad movie is.
Music sucked. Stunts sucked. action sucked. Burt sucked as a drunk and a PI beating up faggots in the sewer.
Yes Burt Reynolds was the original homophobe in Shamus, chain whipping a fag in the darkness as he pistol whipped him with his finger.
A movie is really bad when Dyan Cannon and John Glover can not make it watchable. I do not want to even consider the thought that even the greatest actor of all time in Joaquin Phoenix could not even have saved this movie. If anyone could have, it could have been Mr. Phoenix.
Seriously watching Shamus was like watching Matt Daemon and Ryan Reynolds and Ben Affleck in the same movie, as it was that bad.
Only thing worse is Blake Lively's boring transgender tits on screen. Fag tits are so cliche. I mean if I want to watch fag tits I would watch Ivanka Kushner or watch George Clooney with his man mams on display.
