For Thine is the Kingdom

As another Lame Cherry exclusive in matter anti matter.

The conclusion to the Lord's Prayer is, For Thine is the Kingdom, and the Power and the Glory, forever and ever, Amen.

This is not a reminder to God of Who He is, but a reminder to every Christian Who our God is, and a confession of the profession of our Faith there is only One God, and that is the Triune God of the  Father, Son and Holy Ghost.

There are three parts in the conclusion in the Kingdom, the Power and the Glory, which are all God's, and yet we discover that in the Christian family of God, our King of Heaven delegates responsibility to His Faithful children. For all of the failings we feel in the 10 Commandments and the reality of our weaknesses in the Lord's Prayer, we discover that God has faith in His Spiritual offspring and expect realities from us.

In the Kingdom, Christ delegates authority to not only Peter, but to all Christians, by giving the Keys or the Authority to liberate or secure for the Kingdom of God. It does not mean we can lock people out of Heaven we do not like, as that is Christ's Judgment seat alone, but it does mean a Christian can retain the sins of unrepentant sinners or neutralize the sins of repentant sinners in Christ.
That binding and loosing also is subject to everything on this world, to wrest it from satan.

With Authority comes responsibility and answering for actions and non actions.

Matthew 16:19

And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

The Power  is also of Christ's for the Father's Kingdom, and the Father has handed all Authority or Management to Jesus, Whom Christians are given special Authority to ask in Christ's Name all things, and for the Glory of the Father, these things will be accomplished.

Matthew 11:27

All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.

It is the revelations of the Glory of God, the honoring of only Him in professing that He alone deserves all credit is what creation declares. We the humans of creation are here to glorify God in our growing to Spiritual perfect. None of this is about any glory which we do not deserve.

Psalm 19:1

The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.

Martin Luther lists why we pray to God in the Lord's Prayer and it is a good reminder.

He alone is King or God.

He alone has the power to fulfill our prayers.
'
He alone will have the credit for fulfilling our prayers.

From the Kingdom, to the Power, these are all manifestations of the Glory of the Lord as none is like Him.

doxa: opinion (always good in N.T.), hence praise, honor, glory
Original Word: δόξα, ης, ἡ
Part of Speech: Noun, Feminine
Transliteration: doxa
Phonetic Spelling: (dox'-ah)
Definition: opinion (always good in NT), praise, honor, glory
Usage: honor, renown; glory, an especially divine quality, the unspoken manifestation of God, splendor.

We are part of a wonderful Living Light through Christ in the family of God. We have a loving God Who enjoys our communicating with Him, and He is pleased to provide for us. So much is focused on rightly that we deserve nothing but wrath, but that is to place a fear in us, so that we do not become like the disciples who were around Jesus doing miracles all the time, that they took that wonder for granted.
God though has endless help for us, boundless love, and He dotes on each one of us in He examines us to knowing how many hairs we have on our heads to moving to accomplish things for us, before we even start praying.
It is this in knowing the Christian is God's and He will do all things for us out of Love, that we should always honor and  respect God and as St. Paul teaches to boldly come before God,  in  being humble for we are His children, but knowing by Christ Spiritual adoption we have a right to be before the Father dancing like David did to weeping to have a baby as Hannah did. God made you and has the  same concern for you, as He had for Jesus in the manger.

The Conclusion

For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever.* Amen.

What does this mean? This means that I should be certain that these petitions are pleasing to our Father in heaven, and are heard by Him; for He Himself has commanded us to pray in this way and has promised to hear us. Amen, amen means “yes, yes, it shall be so.”

All of us, even in our illnesses and most in our weaknesses are here to Glorify the Father. In our weaknesses God proves to our hearts and the world, for in our infirmities God renders us Spiritually stronger, as St. Paul revealed.

Romans 12:9

And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

Never lose sight in praying that, prayer is many things in activating God, praising God, thanking God, asking God for all sorts of things from what we want to being delivered, but prayer is also a Spiritual communion with God, and that our weaknesses manifest to prove to us we need God above all things, and God proves innumerable times daily, that He is the only One Who can do all things for us, with Love.

John 11:4

When Jesus heard that, he said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby.

This concludes this study of the Lord's Prayer in the Martin Luther Catechism
