It is not that Russia has only two missile frigates, it is what Russia can do with them is far worse than what the American 44 frigates of the Constitution era, wrecked the British 38 frigates in every engagement.
The newly completed Admiral Gorshkov is a magnificient first strike weapon in an age when naval ships are dinosaurs on the water. This ship is designed to hunt and kill American aircraft carriers and submarines. It is though what it can do with it's killer weapons on land targets which makes this one frigate a Crazy Ivan weapon.

These frigates are multi-purpose combat ships capable of effectively fighting enemy surface ships, aircraft and submarines and delivering strikes against ground and coastal installations from a range of over 1,500 km.

Zircon can travel at a speed of Mach 9 (6,900 mph; 11,000 km/h; 3.1 km/s). The Zircon just from speed at Mach 9, hits a target with over 2 tons of energy. In the hysteria media, that might not sound like much, but this weapon is traveling at around 10,000 feet per second, or 2 miles for every second that passes. A meteor travels at twice that rate. How many targets are in a nation like England? Military, energy production, government? If it were 250 viable targets, in 5 minutes, this frigate would eliminate them and they would not be coming back ever.
That is what I meant by Crazy Ivan. The Russians have a history of ramming their ships into enemy ships to send messages. We were conditioned by Tom Clancey's The Hunt For Red October, which when discovered, was judged to start a nuclear war. In that scenario it was a "crazy admiral who stole a nuclear submarine", how far form that could be an FSB operation where Russia could have a commander acting erratic, maybe shooting down it's own helicopter or firing on a Russian ship.
NATO would have that information immediately. Now what happens if this frigate sits off England, and before anyone can figure out what is going on, launches its Zircon salvo.

This is a long game strategy if things are not going well for Russia. The long game in things going well for Russia is to simply sacrifice the frigate and wipe out England. Now the question is, "Will Europeans choose to die for dead Englishmen?" I would project that Germany, France, Italy and Sweden would neutralize any Hague rhetoric and American retaliation and come to terms with Russia.
This is the probable route of the frigate into the mid Atlantic. It only has a 30 day fuel supply and short range. It should opt to get as close to firing range at the United States and then move onto the target of intimidation of Tel Aviv and southern Europe.
This is this ships maiden voyage. It is to make a statement of intimidation like the FBI hunting down 1000 Jan6ers. The Russians are exhibiting patience and an enjoyent of the cat toying with the NATO mouse.
We have entered a military power era, of non US hegemony. An era when one ship, one submarine, one ICBM can obliterate the civilization of the target nations. We always focus on the war but we never state that there will be survivors. No one is going to bomb South America. No one will bomb southeast Asia. No one will bomb Africa. No one will bomb the nothing of Canada's expanses.
The areas which will be attacked, will require only one weapon platform. That is the reality.
