I Have One Regret

Yes it was all due to watching the second episode of Barnaby Jones when I saw this yummy man.

Now is not William Shatner the most hot and cool man on planet earth?

I mean when TL and I saw him in a beard and stache, we wondered why someone this hot who out hotted Spock in that Mirror Mirror episode when Spock had a goatee on, was not wearing the whiskers full time.

I did a search and William Shatner was in the face fur a number of times, and it really transforms him.

We now have the answer to why George Takei went nuts on Shatner. It was not Sulu being anti semite or being a fag, it was all taking place about the time that William Shatner started to wear whiskers. All that manliness was just too much for Takei.

If only William Shatner had worn a beard on Star Trek. It was a thing though back in the Western era, in whiskers meant the wrong thing, the stache was sinister and the beard was grubby. He never wore man fur on Gunsmoke or anything else he did in the 50's and 60's. The whiskers were all a 70's look for him, 1973 he debuted.

If only in the horrid remake movies of Star Trek, he had wore a beard. It would have brought so much to the character.......I know it would have been too much in he would have eclipsed all other actors and actresses, which was fine, because those movies all sucked. Well except for Persis Khambatta and Catherine Hicks. Here is Catherine.

One of thee most absolutely lovely women of all time. And yes, she would not have been eclipsed by Shatner's beard, but the duo would have been explosive on screen in pure beauty.

I have one regret in not seeing William Shatner as a bearded Captain Kirk, well two now in Catherine Hicks not starring with Shatner's face fur.
