As another Lame Cherry exclusive in matter anti matter.
For God's reasons, a few weeks ago JYG offered me the above wood, coal, trash furnace that someone had built for 50 bucks. I got it as the nuclear warning signs were appearing in October.
It was a good deal, basically 70 bucks for two industrial blowers, the furnace and box of other stuff we have collected from lights to run off of batteries and these heavy metal shelves, two of which are going to form a roof for the loader tractor to keep the snow and rain off the platform.
The thing is the debate is, is this going to appear in a metal shed next to the shack we live in, and blow heat in, is this going to appear in a garage of a future house, is this going to appear in a shed to heat that? I really do not know. What I'm certain of is we now have something which will burn just about anything to keep us warm and if I do not know God's plans yet, that does not mean that I do not a place for it and a use for it, which is a far sight better on the place we live than in the salvage yard or some other person's place.
I call this our 500,000 BTU burner, who knows it might be close to a million if you got the thing fired up as it is large. It is lined with firebrick and is quite heavy. Just have to figure out how to pretty it up, and get the blower moving air from outside to inside.
JYG mentioned the Baptist furnace is not being used in his house. I might just weasel that out of him I could burn radioactive fall out in that and it would take it as this is a furnace with gusto.
So that is more prepping, because you can't prep when you're in the hole.
