I noted in a previous post about filler that I had never been exposed to Quetin Tarantino in writing, direction and acting. As people were throwing out their DVD's for the cloud, we picked up a few of his work and TL and I really liked the Christian Slater one which was written by Tarantino. I think it failed in the ending shoot out, but this was a really well scripted movie.
In other movies, Tarantino seems to get in the way in action like Reservoir Dogs.
It was from Dusk Until Dawn that I agree with Brad Pitt in Tarantino does some good acting. In the movie, he plays a psycho sex murderer to his brother George Clooney who plays George Clooney, playing the Rat Pack of a Nigger Obama standing around which is supposed to be special in having a Nigger standing around posing, like the fag British always posed in movies, like watching a fucking English fag standing their admiring himself was entertainment.
OK what this is all about is Tarantino said Clooney was not an actor. Clooney has thin skin and told Tarnatino to fuck off and everyone else knows George Clooney is not an actor in he has no taste in women and he simply thought being cool was being Dean Martin in the Rat Pack when all the men were overseas fighting in wars and there was no talent to compare with.
In Dusk Till Dawn, Clooney is a cold ocean of water on that film. He is in the way and drags it down. The movie is bad as it starts out as a horror creep show and then turns into horror vampire show. Selma Hyaek just is unsexy as a sexy stripper. Even Harvey Keitel can not save what is going on.
As much as I'm not that impressed with Tarantino as a director as he has that Star Wars George Lucas 1950's serial thing going on and too much the Steven Spielberg Saving Private Ryan set scenes, Tarantino does write pretty good shit. I think he overrates Brad Pitt and why Pitt is in a movie with this talent drain of Clooney is really a waste of his ebbing career. Pitt is ok. He honestly did his best work in the Christian Slater movie that Tarantino wrote.
Tarantino was right too in Marvel is not a movie nor is a star. It is like diarrhea in film in shits you can't quit shitting your asshole out of. There is just too much of this shit in sequels, prequels, melding, mixing and it is like Lord of the Rings in watching 500 movies about Sean Astin's potatoes.
Tarantino gets allot of talent, well not George Clooney, and he wastes talent in clumsy direction. There is a talen to directing. Mel Gibson is a really superb director and actor. Tarantino is like a soap opera director in his stuff is flat, but it gets by with big names. The failings come out when a Clooney somehow gets into the frame.
I honestly would that George Clooney was a quarter as good as Dean Martin or Frank Sinatra. They did good film work. Martin held his own in John Wayne movies and Sinatra was better at comedy than the serious stuff.
But in noting all of that, Quentin Tarantion being a flat director, a good writer, who gets by with better than average actors, is not discounted in overrating Brad Pitt or assessing that George Clooney is not an actor. He certainly deserved a better rebuttal than Clooney's "fuck off", but what would you expect from some no talent like Clooney who only got a job because Aunt Rosemary worked her way into entertainment.
I spend some time in the Thrift Store and always smile at the movies that remain on the stands. They are always some shit that was must see Hollywood that no one will ever watch again. Ocean's 11 has been there for months and I smile in irony knowing that it is another George Clooney film which just repulses people. Let us be frank in this, in George Clooney's "career" is due to a bunch of fat, ugly, women who sat on a couch with a vibrator jacking off to him on television. Then when he did movies, these fat ugly women got theater seats wet fingering themselves. That never appears to dawn on George Clooney as he preens being Obama's white testicle, and everyone just laughs at the joke he is.
There is not ever going to be any movie which George Clooney appears in which will be watched in 10 years, because they are ending up in the junk bin now.
